Gillian Legg

Dr Gillian Legg has over twenty years’ experience working as a Clinical Psychologist for the NHS in the UK, specializing in working with children with a range of learning disabilities and neurodivergent presentations.

Gillian specializes in compassionate behavioural aproaches, bringing together both her further qualifications in behavioural analysis (BCBA, UK,SBA cert) and mindfulness. Gillian is a Unified Mindfulness Lead coach, and also a MBSR mindfulness teacher registered with the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA). This unique blend of high-level psychology, behavioral and mindfulness skills has helped her to develop family support approaches over the years. Always starting with understanding what families are experiencing in the “here and now” and taking time to understand what matters most, before developing formulations, supports and strategies that are most helpful to them.

Gillian also draws on her own lived experiences of being a parent and experience of neurodiversity within her family alongside these clinical skills, to create empathic connections. Her goal is to help parents achieve the balance, compassion and equanimity they are looking for. To foster hope and confidence as they develop their own approach, where developmental differences may be present, but the strengths in the continuity of connection and presence prevail.
